Project: Path of Champions Refurbishment
Client: Sydney Olympic Park Authority

Cunneen Signs has a long and proud history with the Path of Champions, having first installed the original plaques when the walkway was established in 1995. Since then, we’ve continued to maintain and expand this landmark feature, completing multiple refurbishments over the years and consistently delivering new plaques as champions are inducted.

This latest stage saw over 200 bronze plaques carefully cleaned, restored, and polished to bring them back to life, alongside the fabrication and installation of 35 brand-new plaques to honour a new generation of athletes. Each of the new plaques was cast in-house by our team, allowing us to maintain precise quality control and consistency with the original series.

With decades of experience working on this exact site, our team was uniquely equipped to manage the technical, heritage, and logistical requirements of the project. Our deep familiarity with the materials, mounting methods, and site conditions ensured a smooth and efficient delivery, preserving the integrity of the original installations while elevating the overall presentation.

The Path of Champions now stands refreshed and extended—ready to continue inspiring visitors, athletes, and future legends for years to come.
