Cunneen Signs was engaged by HL Landscapes to deliver a comprehensive signage package for the Rozelle Interchange, focused on the transformation of the historic Rozelle Railyards into a major public green space and active transport corridor.

Our scope included heritage interpretative signage, directional signage, and site entry signage—all designed to enhance wayfinding and storytelling across the precinct. A standout feature of the package was a striking site identification sign standing over five metres tall, offering a clear visual anchor and sense of arrival while remaining respectful of the site’s layered history.

To reflect the industrial heritage of the location, all signage incorporated recycled ironbark timber, carefully selected to harmonise with the surrounding landscape and reference the area’s rail infrastructure past. In addition, Swisspearl – a high-performance CFC sheeting – was used, requiring specialised tooling and installation methods. The result is a signage suite that is durable, contextually sensitive, and designed to age gracefully within the public realm.

This project highlights Cunneen Signs’ strength in crafting signage that is both highly functional and deeply connected to place—supporting navigation, interpretation, and identity in complex civic environments.
