Casting / Foundry

Using both traditional and contemporary production methods, Cunneen Signs specialises in the creation of high-quality identification, interpretative, and commemorative plaques and cast solutions. Working across bronze, brass and aluminium, these plaques can be meticulously cast in each material offering distinct characteristics suited to a range of applications…

Bronze, known for its durability and timeless aesthetic, is particularly ideal for outdoor uses offering excellent corrosion resistance and a rich, warm appearance that deepens with age. Aluminium, on the other hand, is lightweight, versatile, and highly resistant to the elements, making it perfect for modern designs or more economical solutions. Brass, with its golden hue, offers a sophisticated finish and is often selected for more prestigious projects.

A bespoke feature of Cunneen Signs is we are the only sign company in Australia with our own in-house foundry. This means that we have complete control over the entire production process, from initial design to final casting. By managing every step in house we ensure craftmanship to the highest standards while maintaining tight timelines and budget.

Fabrication

Sign fabrication is the construction of custom signage using a wide range of materials. Cunneen Signs has no limitations in fabrication; our team work with timber, steel, aluminium, plastics and a number of new recycled and environmentally friendly materials. When building large bespoke signs our team are experts in understanding structural and engineer approved drawings ensuring your sign has a strong and long lifespan. Our services include all types of welding, folding, bending, rolling and all types of connection details. Painting

At Cunneen Signs, all spray painting is carried out in-house using our professional spray booth, dedicated preparation areas, and temperature-controlled curing ovens. These facilities allow us to maintain the highest quality standards and consistent finishes across every project…

Spray painting provides a smooth, even coating with superior coverage — ideal for signage and fabricated elements where both appearance and durability are essential. Our controlled environment ensures optimal paint application and curing conditions, delivering long-lasting, flawless results.

We specialise in 2-pack polyurethane coatings, a high-performance system combining a base paint and hardener to create a durable, chemical- and UV-resistant finish. Available in gloss, satin, or matte, this coating enhances colour depth and protects against wear, moisture, and environmental exposure. We also apply a range of specialised finishes, including primers, sealants, lacquers, and anti-graffiti coatings, tailored to the demands of each project.

Engraving / CNC Routing​

Cunneen Signs uses some of the most advanced computer controlled machinery, including CNC routers, engraving machines, and laser cutters, to produce precision cut-out letters, architectural designs, engraved door signs, plaques, and corporate logos. Our expertise spans a wide array of materials, including aluminium, brass, stainless steel, timber, and acrylic, allowing us to deliver high-quality results across diverse projects…

Digital Print / Graphics

One of our specialties is direct-to-substrate printing, a precise technique that allows us to print directly onto a variety of materials, such as acrylic, metal, glass, wood, and even textiles along with roll-to-roll vinyls. Signage assembly is an important part of the finishing and quality assurance process. Assembly may include bringing a number of parts together along with nominated or appropriate fixings and assembling them into a cohesive unit. During assembly our highly skilled team may attach graphics, lettering and decorative features. Lighting can also be integrated during the signage assembly. This process is taken care of in one of our controlled environments and quality checked before delivery or installation…
